Help us provide Hope After Homelessness and reach our goal of raising $25,000 to create a "Home Necessities Fund" to provide basic necessities for people who are moving out of homelessness and into a Providence Supportive Housing apartment.
Many people come to Providence Supportive Housing who have been homeless or marginally housed. They often have few if any personal items to their name. Funds from the “Home Necessities Fund” will be used to purchase basic household furnishings and other items like a bed, mattress and bedding, kitchenware, dishes, towels and toiletries. Basic furnishings and amenities help new residents transition from homelessness to housing to home. This transition is critical for residents seeking stability and healing. Research shows that once a person finds safe, affordable housing, they become more socially involved in their community and their health can stabilize and improve. Currently there are no dedicated resources for such expenditures which is why your gift is so important.
The goal of the Hope After Homelessness campaign is to raise $25,000 for the 16 Providence Supportive Housing Ministries located in Washington, Oregon, and California. Proceeds will not fund administrative overhead or any costs other than basic household furnishings and amenities for new residents recovering from homelessness and housing instability.
